Stolenwine Records is a small independent record label based just outside Manchester. We were getting sent some great material by new bands while running our fanzine, and decided that it was time we did something to get involved.
Our strategy is to get these bands onto vinyl and to you as cheaply as possible - we don't see the point in selling records which are more expensive than those by well-known bands you can buy on any high street. If we want you to risk trying out a great new band you might not have heard of before, we think it's only fair it shouldn't cost you much to do so. We keep costs low by having a standard look and feel to all Stolenwine releases, by keeping our design work simple and bold, and by licensing rather than owning the material we release.
But this "no frills" approach doesn't mean we put out rubbish. We plan to be around for a long time to come, so are careful to select only the most exciting and promising bands for your listening pleasure.
