Roger - now just Teemu Metsälä but previously also Andrew Odia - have been garnering plaudits from national and international press since the release of their of their first EP in January 2002. Their music is made up of a tapestry of influences - harking back to the clinical disco of the 1980s, yet laden with bang up-to-the-minute beats. Their songs frequently pull against themselves, with bleak lyrics backed by uplifting melody. They have worked with Electronic and Fall producer Keir Stewart, and have a long standing relationship with ultra cool Macunian DJ and producer Danny Webb. In 2004 they appeared at the Reading and Leeds festivals, and plan an album in 2005.

Roger / The Electroluvs - "Hand in Motion / N.S.D."
7" split single - STOLEN 001
The very first Stolenwine release was also the beginning of our love affair with duos. Roger, an intriguing combination of wistful romance and good old fashioned filth, and the finest exponents of synth pop in Manchester, were partnered with Scotland's Electroluvs, more at home at the arcade or BMX track than the disco. The result was two fabulous tracks warmly received both in the UK and on mainland Europe.
